Lukis Mackie has an extensive background with the Department of Defense and earned the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Analytical Team Award for Excellence in 2022. From 2019 to 2025, he served as a weapons of mass destruction (WMD) lead intelligence analyst with Central Command (CENTCOM) and oversaw the tracking of nations pursuing nuclear ambitions. Lukis Mackie provided technical briefings on foreign nuclear programs that spanned scientific analysis of metal/metallurgy and nuclear isotopes, as well as the proliferation of prohibited dual-use materials.
In 2009, Lukis Mackie oversaw a team of diverse intelligence personnel as they handled the North Korean ballistic missile and nuclear crisis. His daily communications with Japanese officials provided a template for a unified allied response across the region. He has also served as all-source intelligence flight commander and senior intelligence officer, and safeguarded $400 million in equipment and 4,000 troops across Iraq.
Lukis Mackie has a passion for traditional and mixed martial arts, and is a fitness enthusiast who incorporates nutrition and weightlifting into his routine. He completed his graduate thesis work at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, on the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.
